what we do

What we run for Australian businesses

Day-to-day books

Sales, purchases, expenses and journals coded to your chart of accounts, kept current rather than caught up in a rush before each BAS.

GST and BAS workings

GST on sales and purchases reconciled to the ledger for each BAS period, with GST-free and input-taxed items separated, ready for lodgement.

Payroll and STP records

Payroll postings, PAYG withholding and the records behind Single Touch Payroll reporting, reconciled to the control accounts every month.

Superannuation

Super guarantee tracked and reconciled by quarter, so a payment deadline never arrives as a surprise.

Bank reconciliation

Every account, card and payment provider reconciled monthly, with the statement attached to the reporting pack.

Year-end pack

Trial balance, schedules, fixed asset and depreciation workings and reconciliations, in the format your registered tax agent needs.

the local rules

The filings your books have to support

We prepare the records, reconciliations and workings behind these. Your local licensed adviser signs and files them.

GST and the BAS

GST is 10%. Registration is required once turnover reaches A$75,000 — A$150,000 for a not-for-profit. The Business Activity Statement is lodged monthly or quarterly depending on your turnover.

Income tax and PAYG

Company, trust and individual returns are lodged by your registered tax agent, alongside PAYG withholding and PAYG instalments. We produce the books and schedules those are built from.

Single Touch Payroll

STP Phase 2 requires payroll information to be reported to the ATO each pay event. That only works if the payroll records behind it are clean, which is bookkeeping work.

Super guarantee

The super guarantee rate is 12% from 1 July 2025, payable quarterly. Late payment carries the super guarantee charge, so we track it as a deadline rather than an accrual.

Taxable payments reporting

Businesses in building and construction, cleaning, courier, road freight, IT and security services may need to lodge a Taxable Payments Annual Report. Contractor payments have to be tracked through the year for that.

Lodgement calendar

BAS periods, super quarters, STP pay events and the annual return. Books closed monthly keeps every one of them routine.

Rates, thresholds and deadlines above are stated as a general guide and change from time to time. We confirm what applies to your entity on the scoping call, and we work alongside your local licensed adviser on anything that requires formal advice or a filing signature.

the systems

Software we work in for Australian clients

Xero and MYOB

The two systems most Australian businesses run on, and both are everyday work for us. Your tax agent keeps their adviser access to the file.

Zoho Books

Our home ground. As a Zoho Advanced Partner we can implement it, migrate you onto it and then run the books on it — the same team does both.

Your day, covered

Australian eastern time is four and a half to five and a half hours ahead of India. We start as your afternoon runs and work through your evening, so overnight turnaround is genuinely overnight.

Every set of books is a different amount of work.

Tell us your entity type, rough monthly transaction volume and the software you are on. We will come back with a fixed monthly fee.

how it works

How we work with you

step one

Scope and access

A call to understand the entity, the volumes and your filing deadlines. Scope and fee in writing before anything starts.

step two

Catch-up, then current

Any backlog is cleared period by period and reconciled, with a written note of every adjustment, before we take on the live month.

step three

Monthly close and handover

Books closed on an agreed date, reconciliations attached, reporting pack delivered, and the workings your local adviser needs sent on the same cycle.

questions

Common questions

Do you lodge our BAS?

We prepare the BAS workings, fully reconciled to the ledger. Lodgement is done by you or by your registered BAS or tax agent — in Australia that role is licensed, and we are not a substitute for it.

Will you work with our registered tax agent?

Yes. They keep their adviser access to the file, we prepare the year-end pack in the format they ask for, and we handle their queries directly with you copied.

Do you work in Xero and MYOB?

Yes, both, and they are the most common systems among our Australian clients. QuickBooks Online and Zoho Books are equally fine.

Can you handle payroll and STP?

We maintain the payroll records, post the journals and reconcile PAYG withholding and superannuation. The STP submissions themselves are made from your payroll software by you or your agent.

What about superannuation deadlines?

We track super guarantee by quarter and flag the payment dates, because paying late triggers the super guarantee charge and that is not deductible. It is a deadline, not just an accrual.

We are behind on several BAS periods. Can you help?

Yes. We work back through the periods with full reconciliations and hand your agent clean workings for each one, with a written note of the adjustments made.

Do you handle trusts?

Yes — discretionary and unit trusts are common structures among our Australian clients. Distribution calculations and resolutions stay with your tax agent; the underlying books and beneficiary accounts are ours.

How do the working hours line up?

Australian eastern time is four and a half to five and a half hours ahead of India depending on daylight saving. Our working day covers your afternoon and evening, so work sent at the end of your day is done by the start of the next.

What does it cost?

It depends on transaction volume, GST registration, payroll headcount and the reporting you want. Send us the contact form for a fixed monthly fee.
